52nd Grammy Awards - És szárnyalt a KoL

Tegnap este megtartották Los Angelesben az 52. Grammy-díjátadót. Ha még emlékeztek, két hónapja írtunk a jelöltek listájáról, de akkor még álmomban se mertem volna gondolni, hogy a Kings of Leon négy jelölésből hármat díjra vált, vagy hogy az AC/DC és a Judas Priest begyűjti történelme első arany grammofonját. És megtörtént.

Persze vannak bőven csalódásra okot adó döntések, hiszen a Dave Matthews Band nem nyerte meg az év albuma díjat, a legjobb rockzenei albumnak a Green Day új lemezét nyilvánították, vagy hogy Bruce Springsteen se nyert Grammy-t a The Wrestler filmzenéjéért. De hát nem alakulhat minden tökéletesen.

Jöjjenek akkor a kategóriák jelöltjei, először az általános díjak. A dalokhoz mellékeltem egy Youtube linket, hogy meggyőződhessetek: valóban megérdemelte-e a díjat az adott együttes.

  • Az év albuma Taylor Swift: Fearless
  • Legjobb fiatal tehetség Zac Brown Band
Most pedig nézzünk rá a rockzenei műfaj kategóriáira:
  • Legjobb rock szám Kings of Leon: Use Somebody
  • Legjobb rock album Green Day: 21st Century Breakdown
  • Legjobb dal nem instrumentális együttesben Kings Of Leon: Use Somebody

Persze örülök a Kings of Leon sikerének, annak viszont annyira nem, hogy pont ez a számuk lett ennyire felkapott és elismert. Vannak sokkal jobb dalok is ennél, akár az Only By The Nighton is.
